Paul Metsa is a 30 year veteran of the MN music scene. He has won 7 MN Music Awards, the most recent was the 2005 Americana Artist of the year. He has performed over 5,000 professional gigs in the Twin Cities. He has released 11 original recording projects on his label MaximumFolk.com (formerly Raven Records.)

Throughout his career, he has also created, produced, and booked hundreds of shows, festivals, and private events. Most recently he was the Music Director at Famous Dave’s Barbeque and Blues in Uptown Minneapolis (2001-2008). During his tenure the club won the Best Blues Club Award five times in the annual City Pages Best of Twin Cities Awards. He produced four festivals for Famous Dave’s. The festival in 2008 brought more than 25,000 people to downtown Minneapolis.

He started Paul Metsa Presents in January 2010 to use his expertise to help others find great music for their event. Paul has a great rapport with his fellow musicians and has a golden rolodex of some of the best musicians on the scene today.

He understands the need to stay within a budget as well as finding the best musicians and groups for any occasion.
